August 12, 1948

Gentlemen:

It is with great pleasure that we take this opportunity to commend you for the splendid and efficient manner with which you recently adjusted our fire loss.

Although the fire December 28, 1947 which swept almost the entire block of Fourth Street between Arch and Cherry will go down as one of the biggest in the city's history, your quick action and competent handling resulted in a prompt and completely satisfactory settlement.

Very truly yours,
Seymour Elkins
