Joe Killian holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture and has served in a variety of roles during the 10 years he spent in the building industry.
He began his career at a small architectural firm in Pittsburgh. Inspired by a cabinetmaker he met on the job, he decided that he needed to learn more about construction and the trades.
From there, he went into residential restoration and construction and found his footing as a carpenter. As he was increasingly drawn into the design and fabrication of cabinetry and furniture, he founded and operated a small fabrication business, specializing in commercial storefront design and fit-outs.
Steep challenges faced during the pandemic led to an opportunity to join the design-engineering team at one of the most prolific luxury furniture and millwork fabricators in the country, where he primarily designed bespoke kitchens and wine rooms that would be installed all over the world.
Desiring to use his knowledge and experience to the benefit of more people than just the ultra-rich, he joined Young Adjustment as a building appraiser. He believes that every property owner deserves a laser focus on the details that give their home or business property the value they have come to take pride in. Like Tom Silva said, the money is in the details.
